This two-piece white knitwear with contrasting black trim set is oh so chic and a perfect outfit for the summer-to-fall transition. The color scheme is reminiscent of the iconic Meredith Blake look. It’s giving “old money” auntie boarding a yacht with her toy Pomeranians. It’s giving sporty and rich. It’s giving “If you ain’t got no money, take yo’ broke ass home.”

This outfit took a ton of planning, and I coordinated everything carefully from head to toe, or should I say from hat to shoes! I scored the Internet to find the perfect white-with-black-trim accessories, all to match my white-with-black trim knitwear set!

Those who have been following me on socials know that I’ve been obsessed with the Meredith Blake aesthetic lately! And I let brought that obsession to my recent San Diego trip via my outfits. In this series, Meredith boards a yacht. πŸ›₯️

This fit may look simple, but it took loads of planning to coordinate! From head to toe — from hat, sunglasses, earrings, bag, to shoes!

Back in mid-June, I first found this 2-piece knit contrast set online, and when I received it two weeks later, I was delighted that that the set fitted me better than I had expected AND the quality’s not too bad. The material feels like mostly cotton. I adored the way the garment sat on me — it looked clean and chic — , but I wasn’t quite sure how to style this two-toned contrast set, and so in July, I asked my Instagram audience to help me style the fit, such as letting them vote on whether I should style it with a black or a white purse.

Majority voted black purse, but I am glad to have done my shopping research and scored this absolutely stunning Chanel vanity case bag before my San Diego trip!

In addition to the bag coordination, I also just *had* to match the contrasting white with black trim in my straw hat, sunglasses, earrings, and shoes as well.

Matching outfits has been a habit of mine since I was a young girl. The reason why I remember this is because I was in 2nd grade when a fellow peer of mine complimented me on my style choice, saying, “You’re very fashionable, always matching your top with your bottom.” That compliment has stuck with me to this day.

Anyways, back to this outfit, I scored the Internet to find the perfect white-with-black-trim accessories, all to match my white-with-black trim knitwear set!

Not going to lie, I’m pretty proud of the way this outfit turned out. πŸ™‚

This knitwear set inspired me to do a yacht look, which I’m calling yacht-core. I’m surprised this aesthetic isn’t more of a thing yet. I know nautical outfits were trending some time in 2012-2014, and I have a feeling it will become a thing on social media soon. YOU READ IT HERE FIRST. πŸ›₯οΈβš“οΈβ›΄οΈπŸš
